I think it’s time for a walk
The going and not so much the arriving.
The temperatures cool and the leaves are changing
It’s time for the whimsy of vistas and space
Not rolling along
But spaces exterior and fresh open air
Trees and trails and at least and at first
The wind of paved streets
Just a stretch of the legs
Whether yards or a mile or two
To find my pace
To feel the earth and get back in shape
For the hike and the climb in solitude
Or among the few
The world wears but the earth renews.
So I think I shall go for a walk today
However far without watch or phone just to see what I may see.
