Unimaginable” by Jeremiah Johnston is a great read for anyone, believer or unbeliever, who is interested in Christianity’s impact on world history. Just over 200 pages, the book covers 3 main sections:

    – World Before Christianity – many descriptions of the harsh kind of life (especially women, children, and slaves) experienced in many areas (health, life span, prostitution, working conditions, etc.).
    – World Without Christianity – lifestyles and beliefs of many atheists (Stalin, Freud, Russell, Huxley, etc.) who wanted to eradicate Christianity from the earth. Thankfully, they did not succeed if successful, our world would be even darker.
    – World With Christianity – positive impacts Christians have made in many areas over the years (slavery, health, education, etc.).

Johnston makes a very compelling case for Christianity’s many positive contributions to world history. Critics opposed to Christianity will be hard-pressed to deny the impact Jesus Christ and His followers have made on the world. Very readable and smoothly flows from chapter to chapter. Will be an excellent reference for future messages. I was given a review copy by Cross Focused Reviews in exchange for a fair review.
